People Empowered and Active for Children’s Education - Team Cambodia
PEACE Team Cambodia is a local network of Christian churches and groups in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap who act together to mobilise communities to enable access to education and healthy learning environments for children in Cambodia. The network works in collaboration with parents, caregivers and communities to ensure that children are supported in accessing their right to education, building hope for a brighter future through holistic growth and development.
We raise awareness and value People so that they will be Empowered.
People will then Actively advocate and support Children’s Education.
We work together with Christian sectors, groups and individuals who share the same vision as a Team.
Network Development and Training: We provide training using Viva’s Quality Improvement System (QIS) and on child protection, child rights, and financial management. We also organise monthly meetings to share information about current situations and discuss responses and initiatives on children’s issues.
Access to Education and Psycho-Social Support through Learning Spaces: We partner with churches, organisations and schools to raise awareness about child trafficking, provide support on psycho-social development and continued education to improve self-esteem and life aspirations of children and youth.
Raising Awareness and Advocacy of Children’s Rights: We collaborate with churches and organisations to raise awareness about the needs and rights of children through initiatives such as the Good Treatment Campaign, the World Weekend of Prayer, and through various trainings with parents, caregivers and community leaders.
