Lantau 70
The Lantau 70 is a classic event that takes runners 70km across Hong Kong’s largest island, traversing diverse landscapes from Mui Wo Beach to Sunset and Lantau Peaks, to Ngong Ping, to Tai O, to Shek Pik Reservoir, to Pui O, and back to Mui Wo. For competitive elites, this is one of the races to conquer, but the relay is much more manageable for those up for a meaningful challenge.
Learning Spaces
Learning Spaces is a program co-developed with a Viva-supported network, CarNetNepal, to provide remedial education and psychosocial support to vulnerable and disadvantaged children with little access to education or at risk of dropping out of school.
In a context where early child marriages, child labour, and child trafficking is still prevalent, education is a crucial way to keep children safe, and equip them with the skills to thrive. Watch this video to learn more.
Each Learning Space has an average of 25 students, and is usually hosted by a local church, which provides the space and utilities for free. Because of this, HK$75,000 is enough to run a Learning Space for 1 year, providing the salary for 2 trained mentors, 1 nutritious meal a day for the 25 students, school materials (books, stationary, school bags, furniture, WASH kits, etc.), good parenting workshops, community awareness and advocacy campaigns, and program administration, monitoring, and evaluation.

FAQ
Runners are responsible for the Lantau Trail 70 registration fee.
The Lantau Trail 70 is organized by The Trail Hub. Please contact them for any race related questions.
Due to the inherent risk of the physical activity, runners participate at their own risk.
Each participant in the team relay needs to personally register with Viva with the form on this page.
There is no minimum fundraising amount per runner/team, but the more we raise, the more Learning Spaces locations we can launch!
If you wish to make a donation to this campaign without any specific runner in mind, please give here.
