Good Treatment Campaign

Each year, the Good Treatment Campaign is used in multiple countries around the world to inspire parents and caregivers to treat their children well, giving them some basic tips to equip them to do so.

In 2026, Viva will run a Good Treatment Campaign once again in September and October.

The Good Treatment Campaign aims to foster positive relationships between children and adults by sharing messages about good treatment. There are six ‘actions’ that can be promoted over six weeks, delivered through digital channels and in-person interactions. The aim is that children lead the way in engaging other children and adults in their community about the right to good treatment.

The Good Treatment Campaign is based on the premise that we should never underestimate the significance of these seemingly small things; each one can make a profound difference in the lives of individual children – done together, they can have an even greater transformative impact.

Everyone is welcome to run a Good Treatment Campaign at any time, though Viva partner networks usually do so in September and October. The resources from last year are available below, and we will update and add to them in the coming months. Additionally:

  1. People can sign an online pledge form and sign up to receive six emails that will help them put their pledge into practice.

  2. You can use this form to report how many pledge cards were signed in your community. This helps capture the breadth and impact of campaigns run by different people in different countries.
