Safeguarding and protecting children

Viva is committed to safeguarding children and protecting them from harm, and is a member of Keeping Children Safe.

We have produced a number of resources and training programmes to equip those working with children to consider their policies and procedures.

Click here to download ‘Creating Safe Environments for Children’, our toolkit for safeguarding children and protecting them from harm. The seven chapters takes your organisation or church through a process of understanding the reasons for keeping children safe, the potential risks to children’s safety, assessing where you are in keeping children safe, and putting in place policies and procedures which can ensure that we do all we can to protect children. (Download the toolkit in French here.)

The Celebrating Children Course is used to equip those working with children with appropriate knowledge, skills attitudes and good practice. Child Protection is one the eight course workbooks that can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.
