AS A VIVA CHURCH PARTNER YOU WILL:

ENGAGE

We ask your church to select a city-wide network and to engage with and support them for an initial period of three years. As you share in the issues facing our colleagues and partners, we hope that the faith and discipleship of your whole church community will be refreshed and strengthened for God’s mission.

PRAY

We ask your church to commit to pray individually and corporately for Viva’s work with children at risk, and in particular we ask churches to participate in our annual World Weekend of Prayer.

GIVE

We ask your church to make an annual financial commitment so you can offer consistent and regular support to the network.

1. ATTITUDE: to become sensitised to the issues facing children and young people locally and globally - viewing children as people with valid opinions and ideas, who have spiritual needs and who have a role to play in our churches.
2. INTENTION: to listen to what God longs to see happen with and for children in your area - becoming part of local and global initiatives.
3. CAPACITY: to be able to respond to the needs of children and young people, and to confront the problems that afflict them - to meet with other churches to encourage one another and seek out practical ways to express concern.
4. ACTION: to participate in activities that benefit children and young people - with members volunteering in church and at local children’s projects.
5. COLLABORATION: to use our common concern for children as an opportunity to build closer ties with neighbouring churches and community groups - to be part of a credible Christian response to children at risk.

VIVA PRESENTATIONS

Could you gather a group of local church and mission leaders? If so, Viva can provide a small team of speakers who will come and share about our unique global ministry and how local churches can get involved. Or you could simply book a Viva speaker for a church service; we always love to inspire people about our work. We only ask that the travel costs of the speaker are covered and, if possible, an offering for Viva is taken during the service.
